According to the provisions of the complaints book and the norms of the Consumer Protection and Defense Code, the virtual complaints book may be used by consumers to submit their complaints and claims. The submission of the claim does not prevent resorting to other means of conflict resolution nor is it a requirement to file a complaint with INDECOPI.

The provider must respond to the complaint or claim within a period no longer than fifteen (15) business days, which is non-extendable.
